One of President Donald Trump’s most loyal supporters believes it’s time for the president and his legal team to give up. The Trump campaign distances itself from the lawyer who gets the hardest hit.

Chris Christie has long been one of the president’s closest, but it seems that the friendship has cooled sharply.

– I have supported the president, I voted for him twice, but elections have consequences and we can not continue to pretend that something has happened that has not happened, Christie says.

In an interview on the television channel ABC, the former governor of New Jersey is not gracious in his mention of the incumbent president.

“Honestly, the behavior of Trump’s lawyers has been a national disgrace,” Christie said.

He says Trump and his campaign have not been able to present evidence of their repeated allegations of electoral fraud, and that it is time to put the country first.

“If you have evidence, present it,” he told CNN.

– Outside the courtroom, they claim that there has been fraud, but when they get inside the courtroom, it is not fraud they are suing and prosecuting, he says.

Dissociates himself from a lawyer

Trump has repeatedly claimed that the presidential election was permeated by cheating and fraud, and has therefore denied the result.

His campaign continues to call into question the integrity of the election by launching a series of lawsuits in the tipping states.

So far, they have drawn or lost over 30 lawsuits, according to CNBC.

Christie points in particular to the tough ride Governor Chris Kemp (R) of Georgia has had.

Powell herself says in a statement to NBC that she understands the statement, and that she will continue to fight against what she calls “massive election fraud”.

Powell received attention on Thursday for several allegations of electoral fraud and conspiracies she made during a press conference hosted by Rudy Giuliani. The allegations were denied as “fantasy stories” by the news agency AP.

Despite hard work, the lawyers for the Trump campaign have made elementary mistakes in their lawsuits.

The AP writes that they have forgotten the name of the judge in the courtroom in the middle of a hearing, submitted a lawsuit concerning Michigan to a court in the state of Washington, and have had to rewrite and resubmit complaints after deleting arguments they were to prosecute.

The Trump campaign’s hopes of winning the presidential election in court were not bolstered by Giuliani’s efforts in court this week. It was the first time since the 1990s that Giuliani brought a case in a federal court, and Judge Matthew W. Brann appeared several times to lose patience with the lawyer, writes the Washington Post.

The case Giuliani had taken to court was the Republicans’ attempt to stop the approval of the election result in Pennsylvania. Giuliani’s case is based on the fact that two voters who voted for Trump were not allowed to change their ballots after a mistake, which they claim Biden voters were allowed to do.

Giuliani replied that it was only a matter of invalidating 680,000 votes, as Republican observers were not allowed to attend the count. But Giuliani had forgotten that part of the lawsuit had been withdrawn by his own team.

– The accusations around the observers were withdrawn, they are no longer a case complained to this court, so why should I consider them, the judge asked.

Giuliani replied that they would re-file the lawsuit – for the third time – and take up this claim again.

The Trump campaign lost that lawsuit on Saturday, and the judge delivered a sharp ruling that rejected the allegation of widespread cheating with advance votes, according to NTB.

Judge Matthew Brann writes in his ruling that when Trump asks for “the astonishing outcome” that almost 7 million voters will lose their right to vote, the plaintiff is expected to present convincing legal arguments and factual evidence of widespread corruption.

– But it has not happened, he writes according to the news agency.

The Trump camp on Sunday notified a court in Pennsylvania that they are appealing the decision not to postpone the approval of the election result in Pennsylvania.
