The report stated that “Dentil” is the only mouthwash in the United Kingdom that is participating in the 12-week clinical trial led by Professor David Thomas from Cardiff University under the title: “Measuring the activity of anti-viral mouthwash against Covid-19”.

Dr. Thomas stressed that while mouthwash products are very effective in killing the virus in the laboratory, we need to make sure whether it works in patients, and this is the point of our ongoing clinical study.

He added, “It is important to point out that the study will not give us direct evidence of virus transmission between patients, as this requires a different type of study and on a broader level.”
