Rescue crews have found another survivor, a girl, in the ruins of a building that collapsed during the earthquake in Izmir, Turkey on Friday.

Ayla Gezgin was found by rescue crews on Tuesday morning, the Turkish Ministry of Crisis Management said on Twitter. It is not known how old she is.

– We heard someone shouting. She said “I’m Ayla and I’m OK”, one of the rescue workers tells the TV station TRT.

– I heard a voice. I stuck my head in through a hole. I held her until the ambulance arrived, and we talked. She was OK, he says.

The quake affected the Aegean Sea in the Mediterranean on Friday, October 30, about 24 kilometers northeast of Samos and about 17 kilometers from the city of Izmir on the mainland of Turkey. The quake was recorded at a depth of about 16 kilometers.

Two girls found Monday

On Monday, two other girls, one 14 years old and the other three years old, were found alive in the ruins of two apartment blocks in Izmir.

The death toll from Friday’s quake has risen to 100 in Turkey. 98 have been confirmed dead in the Turkish city of Izmir, while two have been confirmed dead on the Greek island of Samos.

Nearly 1,000 people were injured in the quake and 147 of them were still hospitalized on Tuesday.

Friday’s quake measured between 6.6 and 7 and had its center below the bottom of the Aegean Sea northeast of the Greek island of Samos. Two teenagers died when a wall fell over them, while 19 others were injured.
