Austrian TV reported, citing police sources, that the Vienna attack included 6 different sites, including the synagogue, according to what was reported by “Sky News Arabia.”
And the Austrian News Agency (APA) announced today, Monday, according to the Austrian Ministry of the Interior, the arrest of a person possibly involved in a shooting incident in the heart of the Austrian capital Vienna.
According to what was quoted by a spokeswoman for the ministry, one of the bullets hit a policeman near Sweden Square (Schwedenplatz), causing him severe injuries.
The spokeswoman added that it has not been confirmed yet whether the synagogue near the scene of the accident was the target of the attack.
The circumstances of the incident are still unknown, and it is still unclear whether the attack was caused by one person or several people.
And video clips, broadcast by OE24, showed a masked sniper firing at least two shots in an open street.
