Melania Trump: – Clone conspiracy sets fire to Twitter

The internet abounds with strange, funny and various conspiracy theories. These include everything from the fact that the lunar landing on July 20, 1969 did not take place, to the fact that The Beatles star Paul McCartney is dead and that he has simply been replaced by a double.

Many are fascinated, and most can probably sign that some conspiracy theory has been a topic of conversation around the dinner table over the years.

Now, however, there is another conspiracy theory that gets attention under the hashtag #FakeMelania on Twitter.

Many have imagined that a picture of the 50-year-old first lady on her way into the helicopter Marine One, which was to fly Melania and Donald Trump to a debate against the Democrats’ presidential candidate Joe Biden – is not Melania.

The topic already has over thousands of posts where eager Twitter users wonder if the US president has hired someone else to be his wife.

Several point out, among other things, that both the smile and the jaw part in the mentioned picture do not match the first lady’s.

“The only thing I will miss from this administration is that they replace new Melanias and just pretend that we do not want to notice it, like a four-year-old with a goldfish,” one writes.

Has happened before

However, this is not the first time people have wondered whether Donald Trump has hired someone else to be by his side rather than Melania.

According to Cosmopolitan, the clone conspiracy has been a topic throughout his presidency. Several have previously hung themselves in pictures that they claim show Melania with a different height, hair or leg structure.

However, the conspiracy theory completely took off in 2017, when a screenshot from a video recording of Melania appeared, and several thought she did not look like herself.

However, the website Snopes explained the picture by saying that the first lady’s face looked distorted because the recording was filmed by a mobile phone that filmed the TV screen.

Snopes even compared the footage to what people thought was not Melania, with the original video available on CNN. However, the video showed that it was actually Melania.

Trump has also discussed the conspiracy theory about his wife on Twitter. He did that last year.

In the post, the president referred to the conspiracy theory as “fake news”, and believed that the photos were photoshopped.
