Immediately, most fighters went to social media and declared: Khabib is the greatest fighter in UFC history.

But someone in particular disagreed with this: Jon Jones.

The American even praised the Russian enough, he even ‘delivered’ the first place in the weight-for-weight ranking to him, but made it clear that the fight to be the biggest in history was quite different.

“Khabib just proved why he is the champion. Damn, different levels! Until I take the heavyweight crown, you can keep this place (1st place in the weight-for-weight ranking, as Khabib himself asked in an interview in the octagon, ”said the champion.

“I want to congratulate Khabib on his incredible career. I know he made his father and millions of fans very proud today. May God continue to bless you on your journey, ”he added.

The affection, however, stopped there

“15 world titles, the numbers don’t lie,” posted Jones, referring to all the belt fights he won.

“Definitely a powerful moment, but my logic is definitely not overshadowed,” he added.
