PPortugal recorded on Wednesday the second worst day since the beginning of pandemic adding 2,535 new contagions, at a time when hospitalizations continue to rise and put pressure on hospitals. Since March, the country accounted for 106,271 infected and 2,229 Deaths.
After a meeting with mayors Baixo Tâmega and Vale do Sousa to discuss the evolution of pandemic in that region, António Costa said that radical measures, such as sanitary fences, are not being considered.
Still here, a 10-year-old girl living in Guimarães, infected with Covid-19 developed a strain of Kawasaki disease, a rare condition that is characterized by inflammation of the blood vessels and which can be deadly. It is the second case verified in Portugal.
