Influencer who denies the virus dies from COVID

A fitness influencer who believed COVID-19 did not exist has died aged 33 after contracting the virus while on a trip to Turkey.

Dmitriy Stuzhuk was released from hospital in his native Ukraine after positive tests – but was sent back because his health was deteriorating rapidly.

To his one million subscribers, the 33-year-old appeared super fit as he promoted exercise and healthy living.

But his ex-wife and mother of his three children, Sofia Stuzhuk, 25, who announced his death, said the coronavirus had caused heart complications.

Dmitriy poses with an oxygen machine in the hospital because he had difficulty breathing.

After he got sick, he wrote to his fans: “I want to share how I got sick and give everyone a strong warning.

“I was one who thought that Covid didn’t exist …

“Until I got sick.”

He told them: “COVID-19 is not a short-lived disease! And it’s hard. ”

Dmitriy woke up in Turkey with a swollen neck and difficulty breathing, he said.

When he was back in Ukraine, he tested positive and was hospitalized.

“The hospital is full of people, some of whom are treated in corridors,” he wrote.

He showed how he needed an oxygen machine to breathe.

After eight days, he was allowed to leave his ward instead of staying in the overcrowded Kiev hospital.

Ukrainian influencer Dmitriy had a relationship with his ex-wife.

But after a few hours he was taken back to the hospital, where Sofia said he would soon be in “severe condition” and “unconscious”.

Stuzhuk – who has five million followers – wrote in the fight for life: “Dima (Dmitriy) had problems with his cardiovascular system …

“His heart is not right …”

He suffered a clinical death, but medics restarted his heart.

She wrote: “His condition is extremely serious. Nobody can do anything with it.

“I did everything to ensure that the father of my three children lived. But now nothing depends on me … ”

Then, heartbroken, Stuzhuk announced his death.

The couple had three children, David, Lola and Olivia. The youngest is only nine months old.

They split six months ago after she complained of “constant betrayal, swearing, showdown and stress” but recently said they were back on good terms.

She wrote: “All that remains are warm memories, three beautiful children and valuable experiences.

“God, it is so terrible to realize that he is no longer with us …”
