Last week we reported that Tesla is currently updating the Model 3 with a significant update that includes several new features.
We saw the new center console and wheels, and reported on some other features, but it’s official now.
Tesla has now officially updated its online configurator with the new update of the Model 3 2021 and, as expected, has some more updates under the hood.
In addition to the previously reported aesthetic changes, Tesla has also made new efficiency improvements, including the new heat pump system, a source familiar with the matter, Electrek said, and it has delivered greater reach across the product line:
The Tesla Model 3 Long Range Dual Motors gets a range of 30 miles on 568 km.
The other versions of the vehicle also received a range increase:
- Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus: now 263 miles from 250 miles away
- Tesla Model 3 Performance: now 315 miles up from 299 miles
A source familiar with the matter told Electrek that Tesla has equipped new Model 3 vehicles with a new “efficiency package” that improves Tesla’s already industry-leading efficiency and extends range.
We will know more about the improved efficiency as soon as the EPA test results are released.
The new Model 3 also has all of the features we confirmed in previous reports, such as: B. a powered trunk, new double pane windows and various aesthetic changes.
As expected, Tesla has taken over the chrome erasure as with the Model Y.
The interior sees the bigger change with the new metallic-finish steering wheel that is now apparently heated and the new center console:

Tesla has also brought the auto-dimming mirror back to the Model 3 with this update in 2021.
All versions also get faster accelerations from 0 to 60 mph – the Model 3 Performance in particular shaved off another tenth of a second in 3.1 seconds to get to 60 mph.
