Canceling the press conference for Al-Ahly and Wydad

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) decided to cancel the press conference for the match between Al-Ahly and Moroccan Wydad Casablanca, which is to be held in the African Champions League competitions.

This is usual, according to the AU regulations, for each team to allow journalists ’questions to be answered for half an hour one day before the match, with each coach attending the press conference after the end of the match.

The Al-Ahly TV correspondent in Morocco explained that the African Union decided to cancel the press conference, either before or after the match, in light of the precautionary measures taken due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus.

The CAF had announced earlier that the media presence in the semi-finals of the continental club competitions this season is limited to a journalist and photographer from each club only.

At 9 pm on Saturday, Al-Ahly will face the Moroccan Wydad team at the Mohamed V complex in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals, while Zamalek will face the Raja team at the same stadium on Sunday.
