Woman charged with murder after King St fight

Murder Squad detectives charged the 43-year-old woman with an overnight murder and affair after police were called to a group of people fighting on King Street at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

A 46-year-old man was found with serious injuries from severe stab wounds in an alleged “cruel” attack and was taken to hospital, where he later died.

The police are still chasing another man believed to be involved who was on the run Monday morning.

The incident took place on the corner of King and Lt Collins Streets, a few meters from the Ibis Styles Kingsgate Hotel.

Officials were seen in the hotel lobby counting residents on Sunday morning.

The residents said that Herald Sun. The area had seen many acts of violence in the past few weeks.

The Ibis Styles Kingsgate Hotel said many of the residents were restless sleepers who had been given shelter during the pandemic.

Detectives are investigating whether the suspected knife stab is related to another man who was found injured at an emergency exit in a hotel on Sunday morning.

Police were told that the man fell off King Street just before 3 a.m. and was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains under police protection.

The police believe that all parties are known to each other.

“The police are going to have to do a series of inquiries into another man who is believed to be involved and who is pending,” said Sergeant Julie-Anne Newman.

The woman remains in custody to stand in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning.
