For years, Jenke von Wilmsdorff dared daring self-experiments for RTL. For example, the 55-year-old experimented with drugs, lived for a short time as a woman or in a wheelchair. After almost 20 years at the Cologne broadcaster, the television journalist has been throwing himself into various experiments for ProSieben since November 30th.

In the opening episode on Monday evening he devoted himself to “JENKE.” various beauty procedures. The 55-year-old wanted to find out which method has “the most visible and strongest effect against biological aging”. He relied on surgery on the left half of his face, the other side was only treated by a beautician. For example, polylactic acid and plasma from autologous blood could be injected into the face with a ten centimeter long cannula.

His goal was to look 20 years younger in 100 days. But did he really succeed? One thing is certain: Jenke von Wilmsdorff definitely looks different, as a before / after picture that ProSieben shared on Twitter shows.

The 55-year-old is hardly recognizable. The forehead is smooth, the bags under the eyes have disappeared. The nasal fold is also no longer as pronounced. But the opinion of the audience about the result is divided.

And what does Jenke think of his new self? He still has to get used to his changed face. “It’s not my face anymore,” said the 55-year-old. “We live in a time in which you no longer have to age with dignity. But you can.”
