But it was the final recipe, a banana peel and cauliflower curry, that surprised the audience.

“I love that this is a dish made with something that would normally go to the trash, although that wouldn’t be enough to justify its presence in the program. It’s there because it’s just a wonderful thing to eat. ”

She told viewers not to waste discarded banana peels and instead chop them up and add them to a simmering turmeric-cinnamon-curry sauce to add texture and flavor.
But for the skeptical foodie, she has an alternative ingredient that you could try, as she said: “If trying the banana peel and cauliflower curry is a step too far for you, you can of course use the base on any vegetable – or even meat or seafood ! ”

The recipe confused viewers when they said: “Many things brought me to WTF in 2020, but nothing comes close to Nigella, who pours boiler water over two brown banana peels.”
