Well, Halloween came and went and it looks like that Harry Potter Movies have too.

On November 1st, all eight Harry Potter Movies were removed by NBC’s Pfau. This final step means the franchise will no longer be available on any US streaming platform. Fans shouldn’t panic just yet, however.

Harry Potter has been in a streaming platform war for the past few years. The franchise was making its way HBO max earlier this year. However, after just a few weeks, all of the films were relocated to NBC’s Peacock in October.

The films should appear on Peacock at least in October. However, Potterheads quickly learned on November 1st that the franchise was no longer available on the streaming platform.

Despite the news, fans shouldn’t panic just yet. According to the Hollywood Reporter, The films will return to Peacock sometime in 2021. NBCUniversal says the franchise will be available in Windows, which means they will be going in and out of the platform for the next six months and next year.

NBC’s Peacock confirmed those plans on Twitter this week.

NBCUniversal’s current deal with the franchise is likely to be responsible for the clutter of the films. According to the edge, WarnerMedia signed a contract with NBCUniversal in 2016. The agreement grants NBCUniversal the exclusive rights to the Harry Potter Franchise until 2025.

Well after SlashFilmNBCUniversal’s deal stipulates that the eight films must be broadcast alongside that Fantastic beasts Movies on both Syfy and USA Networks. After this contract expires, WarnerMedia has the option to purchase the rights again. Currently, the films can only be viewed via cable until they return to Peacock next year.

Naturally, Harry Potter Fans aren’t very happy that the franchise moves onto streaming platforms so frequently.
