Paul Mescal used his free time on Friday to venture out on ice in Greece.

The actor is currently on location in the Greek islands while filming continues on the set of the upcoming drama The Lost Daughter, the directorial debut of Hollywood star Maggie Gyllenhaal.

24-year-old Paul wore a simple white T-shirt and black joggers and looked relaxed as he strolled through picturesque Spetses, which has been mainly photography since September.

The Irish star added a pair of black sneakers to his look, while heavily tinted sunglasses rounded things off.

Paul, a regular sight in the affluent Greek community for the past few weeks, seemed to be enjoying his time outside of work as he indulged in a chocolate-covered ice cream treat.

The actor’s career has grown in strength following his portrayal of amorous college student Connell Waldren in BBC Three’s Normal People, an adaptation of Sally Rooney’s bestselling novel.

Unknown as a relative at the turn of the year, he has since appeared in Channel 5 drama The Deceived and in the promotional video for Rolling Stones’ latest single, Scarlet.

His cautious work on normal people with co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones earned him a surprising nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Film at the Primetime Emmy Awards 2020.

The Lost Daughter – an adaptation of the 2006 novel by Italian writer Elena Ferrante – will be his first feature film.

The film is scheduled to be released in 2021.
