Former neighbor star Jesse Spencer married his longtime girlfriend, scientist Kali Woodruff, in a private ceremony.
The 41-year-old Australian actor, who stars in Chicago Fire, broke the news for The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday, calling the couple’s special day a “silver lining to 2020.”
The intimate ceremony was held in her hometown of Neptune Beach, Florida on June 27 to commemorate the wedding anniversary of Kali’s grandparents.

“Despite a spike in COVID, a change of venue, a cloud of dust in the Sahara and a violent thunderstorm, we made it across the finish line on our wedding day and I’m a very lucky man,” Jesse told the publication.
“What a silver lining to 2020. She’s smart, pretty and way ahead of her years,” he proudly added to his new wife.
