Game-focused media company FaZe Clan released Key Art, a single, trailer, and merchandise related to its first feature-length release, the horror film Purpur, with one of its most prominent members, FaZe Rug.
PurpurIn the 3:33 minute trailer, FaZe Rug (aka Brian Awadis) moves into a spacious new house which, of course, sits next to a house (and an incredibly small car) full of very creepy clowns.
The film was directed by Gregory Plotkin of the Paranormal activity Franchise and feature producers from the same Blumhouse incubator with inexpensive but effective horror features. It’s shot in the same Cinema true ‘ Style of unwritten reality shows, The Blair Witch Project and similar projects.
The project builds on FaZe Rug’s online awareness (a total of 27 million followers on multiple platforms), but also includes Beats as Apple’s “brand sponsors”

Lee Trink, CEO of the FaZe Clan, had indicated when announcing the FaZe Rug project a few weeks ago that the project would be monetized and marketed in a different, more sustainable way than most traditional Hollywood features.
The film will also be distributed on Invisible’s online streaming platform instead of attempting an expensive theatrical release in the middle of the pandemic. It’s one of the few long-term projects and partnerships that FaZe has announced, and the first to arrive for public consumption.
