And on Monday, Chris Hemsworth and New Zealand director Taika Waititi met again during a trip to Lord Howe Island east of the New South Wales coast.

The Thor actor, 37, shared a selfie with himself and Taika, 45, and made funny faces as Chris’ younger brother Liam smiled in the background.

He also posted a number of other photos from the trip, including a picture of himself showing his bulging biceps with his older brother Luke on a boat off the island’s coast.

Chris was also seen jumping off a jetty and diving into the water with his kids and their friends.

He also shared a photo of himself flaunting his washboard abs with a boogie board in hand.

In the picture Chris is rocking a boot on his right foot and a flipper on his left foot.

“Broken ankle, no problem,” he wrote alongside, explaining his injury.

Among the collection of images were family and friends enjoying a scenic lunch.

In the caption, Chris pleaded with his Australian supporters to travel within the country and help the communities hit hard by travel restrictions caused by the pandemic.

“Of course, not everyone can travel at the moment, but if this is safe, we can support our Australian colleagues by vacationing at home in @Australia.”

He continued: ‘@visitlordhoweisland is one of the most sustainable travel destinations in the world with only a few hundred visitors at a time.

“This paradise is home to one of the most unique ecosystems in the world, but like many small communities, it is dependent on tourism,” added Chris.

Chris and Taika’s reunion on the island takes place after he directed the former home and away star in the third Thor film Thor: Ragnorok in 2017.

Taika will direct the fourth episode, titled Thor: Love and Thunder, with Chris playing as God of Thunder and Natalie Portman as Dr. Jane Foster will repeat.
