The scene was captured by a surveillance camera at Yami’s home in the central Chinese city of Zhengzhou last Tuesday.

The footage shows the animal parents walking around the living room, seemingly anxious, as they tried to find a way to comfort their crying babies.

The first-time mother had just given birth to her three pups earlier this month, pet owner Ms. Lu told MailOnline.

Yami first brought one of her toys and left it in the dog bed where the pups rested.

She pushed it forward with her nose as if to show her children the stuffed figure while she said, “There, there, don’t cry”.

After nearly three hours of exertion, the pups finally settled down as they snuggled together.

Yami sits next to her children and lovingly strokes their nose.

Ms. Lu said she was surprised and touched after discovering the footage when she returned home later that day.

‘It was the first time I saw [her] do that, ”said the keeper. ‘Sometimes she stopped [while feeding] to avoid crushing them. I also saw her bring warm clothes [the puppies]. ‚
