The “Lowbeard” field was drilled at a depth of about 3,400 meters, and a reservoir of 73 meters was discovered containing gas and condensate in tanks from the Cretaceous period.
The area of the area prepared for exploration is 19,000 square kilometers, and the depth of the water ranges from 200 to 1,800 meters. Total is in charge of exploration, as it participates in the project with 45%, while Qatar Petroleum owns 25%.
