Etihad Airways announced that it will grant employees of federal government agencies a discount of up to 15% with the launch of the “Emirates Government Employees Travel Program”.
The company stated in a statement yesterday that travelers can join the program for free, complete travel procedures through a designated port at Abu Dhabi International Airport, and gain an additional 15 kilograms of weight.
She explained that when traveling to Canada and the United States, passengers can bring an additional bag weighing up to 23 kg in Economy Class, or a bag weighing up to 32 kg in Business Class and First Class.
Additional benefits include a 10% discount on “Etihad Holidays” packages, and benefit from exclusive discounts with preferred partners.
“Etihad Airways” pointed out that to register in the program, employees of federal government agencies must be members of “Etihad Guest”, the company’s loyalty program. “We are pleased to collaborate with the UAE government to offer employees exclusive travel discounts, benefits and bonuses,” said Duncan Beru, Senior Vice President Sales and Distribution at Etihad Airways.
He added, “Whether the reservation is for business or leisure, we hope that the new program will encourage more travelers to travel again.”
