The statistics of the ministry of health affirmed a decrease in COVID-19 infections during the past three months, at a rate of 22%, after 82% of the populations received the first doze of the vaccine. The ministry said that 73% of the population received the second doze, and the total number of dozes received amounted to 17,454,250.
The number of infected from 14th February 2021 to 17th May amounted to 201,806 while the number decreased to 156,689 from May 18 to August 17th, meaning there is a decrease of 22%. The numbers are decreasing according to the official data of The Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre (FCSC).
The highest rate of infections was 3966 that was registered in January 28, and the highest rate of deaths was 20, which was spotted in February 19, and was considered the highest since the start of the pandemic. The numbers of deaths retreated after approving the vaccine by the official global and local authorities and providing it inside the UAE.
In January 31, 2021, 220,000 dozes of the vaccine were provided in one day, to be the most amount provided since the vaccine was approved. The highest number of recovered persons was 4,892 which was spotted on 15 February.
