Dubai government has said that residents and travellers with valid Dubai visas and General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs’ approval will be permitted to land at the emirate’s airports and ports.
The decision was highlighted by Indian airline Air India on its website.
The statement read, “Only passengers having Dubai Resident visa and have GDRFA approval are permitted to arrive into Dubai Airport. Passengers having other Emirates Resident Visa are not permitted to arrive into Dubai Airport.”

The authorities made it clear those residents holding other emirates’ visas, such as Sharjah and Abu Dhabi will not be allowed to land at Dubai Airports.
They will be denied boarding from the native airports as per rule.
The passengers are advised to seek the Federal authority for Identity & Citizenship ( ICA) through https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae/echannels/web/client/guest/index.html#/registerArrivals
Once approved, residents are allowed to travel to Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah provided that they meet UAE vaccination criteria.
The UAE authorities have issued a list of requirements for passengers.
The authorities said holders of valid residency who received full vaccination in the UAE and 14 days have passed since receiving the second dose and carrying vaccination certificates approved by the official authorities in the country will be allowed to enter from those countries.
All of these categories are required to submit a request on the website of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship to obtain the necessary approval. Vaccination certificates approved by authorities in the country should be attached.
A quick PCR test before boarding the plane will apply, in addition to applying the precautionary and preventive measures upon arrival, including quarantine and a PCR test.
Transit passengers from all countries from which transit passengers were previously suspended will be allowed to resume their travel, provided the traveller’s last destination accepts entry with a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the time of departure.
The country’s airports have allocated special lounges for transit passengers while taking all precautionary and preventive measures.
Additional requirements for passengers arriving into Ras al-Khaimah Airports:
10 days home quarantine upon arrival
PCR test on the 4th and the 8th day after arrival
Adherence to wearing the tracking watch on arrival
Additional requirements for passengers arriving into Abu Dhabi Airports:
Applying the quarantine for 12 days for all arrivals
The quarantine to be at home or institutional according to the condition and the requirements
Passengers must take the PCR test on day 6 and day 11.
