The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) confirmed 1, 961 new coronavirus cases on Thursday.

In addition to the new cases, it reported 1,803 recoveries and four deaths.

Using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment, the ministry carried out 193, 693 additional COVID-19 tests over the last 24 hours.

In a statement, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.

The UAE has recorded 518, 262 positive cases since the outbreak, 498, 943 have recovered and 1, 584 passed away.
