The Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, will celebrate the Indian Republic Day by displaying the Indian national colours on its LED facade tonight.

Colours of the Indian flag will light up the tower at 8.10pm on Sunday, sources from the Consulate General of India in Dubai confirmed.

Earlier today, the UAE leadership congratulated Indian president Ram Nath Kovind on the occasion.

The President, His Highness Sheikh , His Highness Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, sent messages to the Indian president,

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also sent similar messages to Narendra Modi, the Indian prime minister.
