An Interpol wanted criminal has been arrested in Dubai.
In a sting operation, security officers in the emirate arrested Amir Faten Mekky, a Danish national, on June 3.
Special forces from the Dubai Security agency raided the residence of Amir Mekky in the early hours and he was taken into custody.
He is currently being investigated and preparations are under way to hand him over to the relevant authorities.
Mekky had eluded security forces across Europe, and had been at large for a long time.
