An international team led by astronomers from the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy (MPIA) recently discovered the existence of a strange giant filament consisting of atomic hydrogen gas in the Milky Way, the formation of a structure called “Maggi”, located about 55,000 light-years from Earth, that is, located on The other side of the Milky Way, they categorize it as the largest space object ever discovered in our galaxy.

As for the name of the strange space object, which is the largest structure in the Milky Way, it was put by “Juan de Soller”, after the longest river in his homeland, Colombia, the “Rio Magdalena” or “Magé”.
