Oppo K9x launched with 810 pixel camera and 64 MP camera

The Oppo K9 series is not big enough as there is no room for a new variant. Since last month, we have been seeing rumors of a new variant called Oppo K9x to complete the series. Now, the device is official in China. As expected, the Oppo K9x join the family With 5G connectivity, an all-new SoC from MediaTek, and a triple camera setup. Without further ado, let’s take a look at what this mid-range 5G smartphone is up to.

Specifications of the phone Oppo K9x

The Oppo K9x features a 6.5-inch LCD screen with a Full HD+ resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. The device also offers a 90Hz refresh rate. The upper left corner of the display panel houses a front selfie camera inside the perforation hole.

Under the hood, the K9x comes with the latest MediaTek Octa-Core processor, the Dimensity 810 SoC. This platform was unveiled earlier this year and is another of MediaTek’s chips that have been manufactured in TSMC’s 6nm process. The chip brings 2 x ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.4GHz as well as 6 ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2GHz. There is also a Mali G57 GPU that handles the graphical tasks.

Moving on to the optics, the Oppo K9x features a triple camera setup with LED flash. The 64MP primary camera on the device comes along with a 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. For taking selfies and video calls, it offers a 16MP camera on the front. The phone draws its power from a 5000 mAh battery and has 33W fast charging support.

The Oppo K9x comes with three storage configurations. The base model has 6 GB of RAM along with 128 GB of storage. There is an intermediate option with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Finally, the high-end version offers 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The device has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a dedicated micro SD card slot. The phone is 8.81 mm thick, weighs 194 grams, and runs Android 11 ColorOS operating system. It’s a shame that the device was still running Android 11 by the time of its release. However, there’s not much we can do apart from waiting for a future update.

The Oppo K9x comes in two distinct colors – Obsidian Black and Purple Silver. Oppo has not yet revealed the price of the new smartphone. According to the press release, the device will go on sale from December 27. As usual with the K9 series, we don’t think this device will ever leave China.
