Cyberpunk 2077: Preload is running on GoG

As announced, CD Projekt Red has started making it possible for PC gamers to preload Cyberpunk 2077 after Xbox gamers were able to pre-download game files last week.

As the GoG Twitter account reports, the preload has already started there. PCGH user RNG_Agesa in the PCGH Extreme forum provides initial information on how big the download is. It started downloading at noon and shows a screenshot of its download queue that 63 GB have to be downloaded. At a constant 50 Mbit / s, the download takes around 30 hours; it takes longer or shorter if the internet connection is weaker or better.

CD Projekt Red indicates “the last chance to pre-order”. Whoever buys the game on GoG will only get the English digital comic Big City Dreams there, which has a total of 50 pages. It is about the scavengers Tasha and Mirek who steal cyberware in Night City and immediately spend the money won on parties and so-called “braindances”. The comic was written by Bartosz Sztybo from CD Projekt, while Filipe Andrade did the drawings. The comic will also be released on November 19, 2020.

The first stage of the PC preload today includes GoG from 12 noon, at 5 p.m. PC players continue with Steam and the Epic Games Store. All owners of a Playstation console (PS4 and PS5) are then two days before the release – it should be on December 8th. his. A time has not yet been set here. Naturally, there is no preload at Stadia. It should be relatively certain that the preload does not yet contain the announced Day 1 patch. Cyberpunk 2077 is played (buy now 58.19 €) on PC in Germany from 1 a.m. on Thursday.
