Microsoft’s Ugly Sweater is coming this year as a tribute to Paint
After Windows 95 and XP, this year’s sweater is inspired by Paint. The biggest innovation, however, is that the sweaters are also available for normal mortals this year – in 2018 and 2019 Microsoft only gave gifts to selected influencers, bloggers and media representatives. In the spirit of the Christmas spirit, the company has announced that it will donate part of the proceeds from the sale to a good cause. “Girls Who Code” is a non-profit organization that aims to increase the proportion of women in IT and to equip girls and young women with coding skills. For every sweater sold, Microsoft wants to donate US $ 20 to the non-profit.

The “soft-wear” sweaters are available – or better: were – in Microsoft’s online shop. The sweaters with Windows 95 and XP are already sold out, the gem in the paint design is – as of Wednesday morning – only available in sizes XL, 2XL and 3XL. But sweaters like this are bought one size larger anyway because they are even more comfortable. By the way, buyers can also look forward to the packaging – Microsoft has always come up with something nice.
