The most important thing now is to check the internal structure of the zip. If inside there is a folder like “Copy to game folder” or similar information, it will not work! You have to unzip and REZIP the following structure: In the zip above, you can see that there are 2 unnecessary directories: “00 – Copy to game folder” and “Media“. There I extracted and rezipped only the structure circled in red. I took the opportunity to rename the zip to the name of the mod (here mercedes.zip). Copy now this famous zip in the installation directory of the game. In this directory you will also find the zip of the DLC, and the zip named media.zip, texturescache.zip, etc … Avoid touching them, at the risk of corrupt the installation of the game. Here, the file we are interested in is “config.xml”. You have to edit it with a simple text editor, and add a new “mediapath” so that the game detects your zipped mod.
