Best New Video Games for PS5, X / S Series, Switch,...

New releases usually highlight five big games in each episode, but that would be a real downside this time around, considering the upcoming launches of the PS5 and Xbox X / S series. The next generation of consoles starts with hits like Assassins Creed Valhalla, Dirt 5, Bugsnax, Demon’s Souls, Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Godfall. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War arrives shortly after the launch. And since we can’t skip Nintendo, this episode also takes a look at Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. Here are the top video game releases across all major platforms this month.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – 10. November (PS4, Xbox One, Serie X / S, PC, Stadien) / 12. November (PS5)

The next entry in the Assassin’s Creed saga takes place in the Viking Age. As the tribal leader of Eivor, you lead your people in raids over the island of Great Britain. You loot villages, build your own camp and even plunge back into social secrecy. Expect more information on the mysterious hidden ones.

Dirt November 5 – November 10 (Series X / S) / November 12 (PS5)

Available for: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X / S, PC

Dirt 5 will already be available on current generation consoles when the new ones arrive, and you’ll be able to transfer your game saves from Xbox One to Series X / S (unfortunately, you can’t do that from PS4 to PS5). What awaits you in this rally racing game are different tracks around the world, each with dynamic weather conditions. You can also take on a rival in Career mode.

Bugsnax – 12. November

Available for: PS4, PS5, PC

The eponymous Bugsnax are small edible creatures that live on a mysterious island, and it’s up to you to catch them for the citizens of Snaxburg, a species called Grumpus. This requires a bit of puzzle solving and doing quests for every grumpus. Even better, you can download it for free on PS5 as one of the PlayStation Plus November games! The game will remain free for a few months. This means that if you get your system a little later, you can still hold onto it.

Demon Souls – November 12th

Available for: PS5

The game that started the Soulsborne trend is back and has been redesigned for PS5 by the same team that brought Shadow of the Colossus to PS4. It is a faithful remake. So don’t expect a new Archstone. However, there are nifty new weapon animations and optional visual filters. You can even revisit the Archstones in Fractured Mode, which mirrors the levels.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales – 12. November

Available for: PS4, PS5

This is not a sequel to the 2018 Spider-Man game; It’s a stand-alone adventure where you control the Miles Morales title instead of Peter Parker. Miles has his own suits – including a great outfit from Into the Spiderverse – that have their own special abilities. It can become invisible, discharge electricity and much more. In addition, there is a free upgrade from the PS4 version to PS5 if you can’t download the new console for a while.

Godfall – November 12th

Available for: PS5, PC

The very first confirmed PS5 game is just around the corner. This looter published by Gearbox takes place in a world divided by the five elements of fire, water, earth, air and spirit. Likewise, you can choose from five different classes of knights and fight with a variety of weapons, each with their own distinctive attacks.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War – November 13th

Available for: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X / S, PC

The latest in the Call of Duty franchise retells what happened after the first Black Ops game. During the Reagan era, you will perform covert missions around the world in the campaign. The usual multiplayer modes are back, along with new options via Fireteam. And yes, there are zombies too.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – 20. November

Available at: counter

The next Hyrule Warriors game is set 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild. You can take control of Link, Zelda, Impa, and the four champions as you battle Ganon’s forces in Ganou style. Alongside all of the fighting, expect some traditional Zelda puzzles as well. You can try a demo now if you’re curious.
