Xbox Series X streaming apps revealed – and that includes Apple...

Microsoft has announced which streaming apps will be included in Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S when it launches on November 10th. The good news is that the choice is good and extensive – like the PS5 entertainment apps, the new Xbox consoles support Apple TV.

That means you’ll have access to Apple TV Plus on both new consoles, which was previously not possible on PS4 and Xbox One.

Here is the list of entertainment apps that have been confirmed to be launched so far. Note, however, that this list is not exhaustive and that more is promised by Microsoft:

If you’re in the US, you can subscribe to channels like Showtime, CBS All Access, and AMC + through the Apple TV app. The main attraction, however, is checking out Apple TV Plus content like Ted Lasso, Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet, and Greyhound with Tom Hanks.

You can subscribe to this service through the console for $ 4.99 / £ 4.99 / AU $ 7.99 per month, and there will also be a free trial.

Xbox makes a game for your living room

Entertainment apps aren’t the reason you buy a game console, but they are a handy perk to buying one. This means you can do without a dedicated streaming stick or smart TV functionality – and support for additional apps is just a good thing from Microsoft.

This will keep the console in the middle of your living room. And there’s something else to do other than delve into the Xbox Game Pass library.
