The most valuable multinational tech company, Apple, is currently in the beta version of iOS 14.2 of the popular iPhone operating system, which released the final build version of the software. The tech company released the iOS 14 on September 16, a month before the iPhone 12 was released.

Apple’s iOS 14 promises the best integration for iPhones as well as the most anticipated features like Picture-in-Picture (PiP), customizable widgets, app library, etc.

Apple’s iOS 14 Beta: Error Notification Pop-up Complaints Flood Twitter

Apple’s iPhone users and the beta version of iOS 14.2 are now receiving popups from the system about a new update for the current version which is in beta testing mode. The popup only has a “Close” button as an option and does not redirect to the “Software update” in the phone’s settings.

The “Incorrect Update” notification states that there is a new iOS update in the settings that replaces the current beta version of the iPhone. Apple iPhone users suspect that “bugs” are flooding the company’s systems and triggering the false update notifications provided by iOS.

Twitter users report that when closing the pop-up and entering the appropriate setting, there are no software files to download. The Settings page indicates that the software is up to date. This inaccurate and recurring popup is annoying Apple users who are up to date with the latest iOS 14.2 version.

iOS 14 Beta: ‘Expiring’ version leads to incorrect update notifications

According to 9 to 5 Macs, this phenomenon was originally seen in the 2018 iOS 12 release when the beta was first introduced. Apple’s software was written with an “expiration date” that calculates the life of the trial version. The software expiration corresponds to the company’s expected timeframe in which a new version of the operating system will be released.

Apple’s iOS 14.2 beta version was released more than a week ago and has been on the respective phones since October 20th. The iOS “expiring” code is prompting users to update to the latest version and review their settings for the upgrade.

Incorrect update notifications for the iOS 14.2 beta: will Apple’s final build version be available soon?

The fake notifications from the iOS 14.2 beta version could mean that a new version of the software would soon be coming from the Cupertino giant. iOS 14 is more than a month old. However, it is still running at a beta, and the fake update notifications may indicate that Apple is preparing to release the final build version of the iPhone operating system.
