Valorant 1.11 Release Date News and Skye Patch Notes Latest |...

The new character Skye is part of the next Valorant update, and players want access to it asap.

If the patch goes online, after two weeks in the competition queue (November 9th if there are no issues), Skye will be available for the official esports competition (e.g. First Strike).

The latest from the team suggests that Valorant 1.11 will still go live this week, although we are now kicking into Friday without much additional confirmation.

The latest from Riot Games adds, “1.11 was a technical nightmare. In 30 minutes we will reset the patch for North America, Brazil and LATAM (one at a time). We’re also delaying all other regions until we find a solution. We know we’ve said this with every patch, but thanks for sticking with it.

“We’ll start again later in the week as soon as we can figure out a less disruptive time for the VALORANT First Strike Qualifiers (and of course have a solution). If you have completed the Skye Character Contract, you will not be able to proceed until we patch again.

“For the sake of clarity, when we roll back a patch, it means we’re bringing the game files back to the last state they were in. This means that we are removing some files and returning some files to their original state. In terms of the progress you have made, it will remain as it will be saved on the account. Hopefully this helps!

“You will still see Skye in your inventory when we patch. You’ll even keep your progress on her contract – you just won’t get any XP for it until she’s activated. ”

So the fans are hoping for an announcement on October 30th that includes a release schedule for the new Valorant update.

A message to fans in the 1.11 patch notes adds what other things the new Valorant update will focus on:

“With First Strike on the horizon, the balance team has worked hard to make our final round of critical balance changes before the teams begin to duck.

“We want to make sure that the top teams don’t have to constantly adapt to a changing game during the tournament. Minor changes in balance may occur during the First Strike period. However, we won’t be providing changes like this patch that will have a major impact on a team’s strategies.

“One of the trends we’ve seen is that it can be very difficult for attacking teams to break entrenched defenders.

“While any part of the game can affect this type of trend (movement speed, weapon coordination, map design, agent balance), we think there are some targeted character changes that can give attackers more opportunities to break entrenched defenders.”
