Now the company is ready to launch these smartphones in its home country of China on October 30th. Before the start, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business Unit, announced that the Chinese variants will be equipped with a special feature that will be presented together with the smartphones.
He shed more light on the journey of these newly launched Huawei Mate 40 series smartphones, saying it took around three years for the company to make these Mate 40 series phones, which offer an impressive array of features.
This information was revealed in a video the company shared on its official Weibo account. It shows Richard Yu answering some of the common questions users have. He also talked about how much pressure the company is feeling from deteriorating business relationships in the world, particularly with the US.
Recently, the devices were available for pre-order in China through JD.com, and the e-commerce platform has officially announced that the Huawei Mate 40 series sold out on the platform in just 28 seconds. It is noteworthy that only the Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro could be pre-ordered in China.
