A few days ago, Huawei unveiled its highly anticipated next-generation Mate smartphones – the Huawei Mate 40 series, which includes three models: Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro +.

Now the company is ready to launch these smartphones in its home country of China on October 30th. Before the start, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business Unit, announced that the Chinese variants will be equipped with a special feature that will be presented together with the smartphones.

He shed more light on the journey of these newly launched Huawei Mate 40 series smartphones, saying it took around three years for the company to make these Mate 40 series phones, which offer an impressive array of features.

This information was revealed in a video the company shared on its official Weibo account. It shows Richard Yu answering some of the common questions users have. He also talked about how much pressure the company is feeling from deteriorating business relationships in the world, particularly with the US.

Recently, the devices were available for pre-order in China through JD.com, and the e-commerce platform has officially announced that the Huawei Mate 40 series sold out on the platform in just 28 seconds. It is noteworthy that only the Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro could be pre-ordered in China.

Under the hood, the devices are powered by the company’s own Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 9000, a 5 nm chipset with an integrated 5G modem. The Chinese giant claims it is the most powerful 5G processor in the world.

The camera of the Mate 40 Pro has a 50MP f / 1.9 1 / 1.28-inch main camera as well as a 20MP f / 1.8 cine camera (ultra wide angle) and a 12MP f / 3.4 telephoto Camera. On the flip side, the Pro + model has the same 50-megapixel main camera and 20-megapixel ultrawide cine camera, but includes an 8-megapixel f / 4.4 periscope lens and a 12-megapixel 1: 2.4 telephoto camera and a ToF sensor for depth measurement.

The Android 10 operating system runs on the smartphones with the company’s own EMUI 11. The Mate 40 is powered by a 4200 mAh battery with 40 W fast charge, while the Mate 40 Pro + is powered by a 4400 mAh battery, the 66 W SuperCharge cable and 50 W SuperCharge Cable supported.
