As discovered by Videocardz, the still unofficial Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti is listed by retailers on the Chinese marketplace Taobao.
The listings reinforce previous rumors and suggest that a launch could be scheduled in mid to late November. Sellers expect a delivery date on November 30th, suggesting that Nvidia could launch the card shortly after the RTX 3070 launched on October 29th.The listings also suggest the GPU will retail for less than $ 400 (around £ 307 / AU $ 560). While there are no official details yet, the Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti is available for pre-order from Taobao for 2049-2999 yuan ($ 305-446), though an industry source tells Videocardz that the MSRP won’t exceed $ 400.
In terms of specs, the RTX 3060 Ti will reportedly pair 4,864 CUDA cores with 8GB of GDDR6 memory – just like the RTX 3070. The Taobao listings suggest the Ampere GPU will be faster than mid-range the Turing-based RTX 2080. This makes sense because the RTX 3070 is billed just as quickly as the RTX 2080 Ti.
Rumors of an incoming RTX 3060 Ti come the same day speculation suggests Nvidia is also planning to release an RTX 3070 Ti graphics card.
This GPU is said to have 10 GB of RAM and a TGP of 320 W, which brings it in line with the flagship Nvidia RTX 3080. It should be planned as an “emergency product” for the alleged AMD graphics card Radeon RX 6800 XL.
It could be shown alongside the standard RTX 3070 on October 29th – a day after AMD’s Big Navi launched. It remains to be seen whether we will hear more about the so-called RTX 3060 Ti as well.
We also reached out to Nvidia for a comment and will update this story if we hear anything.
