Model Ruby Tuesday Matthews’ dispute with Jetstar over flight delay escalates

Ruby Tuesday Matthews’ dispute with Jetstar has escalated, and the Byron Bay model calls the airline an “s *** star”.

Jetstar has now defended its actions after Matthews made headlines last week for being harassed by fellow passengers when she was late on board.

“Smile because we don’t fly with S *** STAR,” said the mother of two in an Instagram post in front of Sydney Airport on Monday.

Matthews blamed the airline for its decision to leave Ballina Airport when they heard of a flight delay last Thursday.

She then shared a picture with her Instagram story of eating oysters in a restaurant, headed “Flight Delays My Life”.

However, after it was announced that the flight would not take off until 7.45 p.m., the take-off time was brought forward to 6.20 p.m. after an engineer had assessed the aircraft.

When Matthews got on the plane around 6:50 p.m., passengers on the flight booed her.

The video shows frustrated travelers hurling abuse at the model and screaming, “How were the oysters?” And “What a good day to be pretty”.

In a subsequent video, Matthews claimed she missed the announcement to notify passengers on the delayed flight not to leave the airport.

“I didn’t hear that. I swear to god I never left the airport, ”she said.

“I am not an ad *** head, I have respect for everyone else.”

In a statement on the incident to the Daily telegraphJetstar emphasized that passengers had been asked not to leave the airport.

“We apologize to customers for the delay in service and thank them for their patience as our team worked to get the flight done as quickly as possible,” the airline told the Sydney newspaper.

“We kept customers informed during this time and asked them not to leave the airport in case the flight could depart before the revised time.”

Matthews had previously claimed she made it to the airport just seven minutes after receiving the call from Jetstar informing her of the change.

“I have been molested, persecuted and my children have been threatened,” she said.

She claims she received no assistance from airline staff when abuse was hurled on her.
