Like pretty much every other game console, the PS5 comes in a box. But what does this box look like? It’s a question that kept us up at night and we now have the answer. See, in all its blue and white glory: the PS5 box!

If you’re Brad Pitt in the 1995 film Seven, you’re probably wondering: What’s in the box? Well, let’s go.

The system has the following:

  • PS5-Consoles
  • DualSense-Controller
  • HDMI cable
  • Power cord
  • Stand
  • USB cable
  • Manuals and other printed matter

It’s a little surprising to see such a no-frills design when we look at the PS5 itself, which has a unique curved design and large panels on either side. Sony may feel that without a ton of other pictures or screenshots on the box, it could speak for itself.

And you didn’t ask, but here is the PS5 box next to a banana and an egg:

For scaling, of course

As you can see, it is significantly larger than the banana and egg. The PS5 is one of the greatest game consoles of all time, dwarfing the PS4 and even the PS4 Pro. It’s not as thick as the Xbox Series X, but it’s a bit bigger. This can cause problems in certain entertainment centers. However, you can use the included stand to place it either vertically or horizontally. Make sure you have relatively easy access to the console as well, as you can detach the control panels and vacuum dust through special channels in the systems. Hopefully this will help keep your fan from getting too loud.

The PS5 and PS5 Digital Editions will both be released on November 12th, just two days after the Xbox Series X and S series.
