Try Immortal’s Fenyx Rising on Stadia now for free

Stadia’s three-day event ended today. Following the release of the Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle demo on Tuesday and the Humankind demo yesterday, the cloud gaming service ended its streak by announcing some new games in Stadia and announcing that the demo of Immortal’s Fenyx Rising is now available is for a week – but only for a week.

As with other stadium demos, anyone with a Gmail account can dive right in and play games. No membership registrations or payment details are required. The demo of Immortals Fenyx Rising can be played for free until October 29th, exactly one week from today. You can try it for yourself by clicking here. The full game will be released on December 3rd and is available to pre-order now for $ 59.99 from the Stadia Store.

Some new games coming to Stadia were also unveiled today. Young Souls will land on the platform next year. It’s a First on Stadia title, which means you can play it before any other platform on Stadia. Developed by 1P2P, Young Souls features a unique art direction and deeply narrative storyline embedded in an intense combat RPG game. I think it looks really beautiful, so hopefully the storyline and controls make for a great gaming experience.

With Phoenix Point coming in the first quarter of 2021, players can take center stage in the battle to recapture Earth from a mutating race of aliens. With turn-based tactical combat and resource management on a global scale, this game promises a brutal challenge with a lot of replayability.

Stadia seems to be on the right track with new content and features planned for the coming months, but there’s a lot of competition now too. Microsoft officially launched xCloud last month, and even Amazon is getting into the game with Luna. Now let’s just hope Verizon doesn’t remember testing cloud games as well.
