Xbox Series X is better than PS5 before it launched for...

The Xbox Series X has a significant pre-launch advantage over the Sony PlayStation 5. Not because the devices don’t have the same graphics performance or the Xbox fits better under the odd table on your TV. But because the Xbox Series X has a list of games that run at a frame rate of 120 fps – a list larger than the PS5’s.

The PlayStation 5 game console has a list of games that can be run directly at 120 FPS. The list is good – the games are going to be great. There is nothing wrong with the games that run at this high frame rate when started on the PS5.

The list of 120FPS games for Xbox Series X is… significantly longer than that of the PS5. The Xbox list also includes every single game that is on the 120 FPS list for PlayStation.

It’s not like someone would go for a PlayStation 5 or an Xbox Series X based on a single feature like this, is it? Surely it couldn’t be that there were people this late in the game looking at a list of 120 FPS games and thinking, wow, that makes me want one console more than the other. Or wow, maybe Microsoft has been more influencing developers when it comes to higher frame rates for games?
