Stay tuned, we’ll be providing updates as the beta continues for the second and final weekend.
Saturday 17th October update:
Black Ops Cold War Beta is now one Open Beta on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4 for all players – no pre-order or codes required!
You can now start downloading and playing the Open Beta by visiting the PlayStation Store, Xbox One Store, or Battle.net and downloading the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Open Beta file.
The beta file is 30 GB for PS4, 20.1 GB for Xbox One and 40 GB for PC.
If you’re having trouble finding it, there’s a direct link here:
PlayStation Plus is not required for PlayStation 4. Xbox Live Gold is required for Xbox One. A valid and active Blizzard Battle.net account is required for PC players.
In addition to the beta, which is open to everyone, Treyarch has the Level Cap bis Level 40. Additional content is now available for unlocking and testing, including:
- WEAPONS: RPD light machine gun, RPG-7 launcher, magnum pistol + more
- PERKS: Quartiermeister, Ninja
- SCORESTREAKS: Air Patrol, Chopper Gunner
- WILDCARD: Perk Gier
- EQUIPMENT: Lockvogel, Semtex
- FELD-UPGRADE: Interferenzsender
Additionally, Treyarch updated the playlist to add a return mode: control! Control first debuted in Black Ops 4 and is back in Black Ops Cold War.
Control complements our selection of 6v6 modes in the Crossplay Open Beta. We’re excited to bring back this Black Ops 4 fan favorite, where opposing teams battle to capture or defend two objectives on the map, or wipe the other team out before they run out of life.
Each team with up to six players has 30 lives distributed among the team, which represents a new level of strategy for attacking and defending teams. Skip control of Cartel, Miami and Moscow this weekend
Call of Duty: Open Beta Weekend 2 for the Black Ops Cold War Open on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC is live until Tuesday October 20 at 10 a.m. PT.
Stop by and get your final experience of the game before it starts on November 13th!
Friday October 16 update:
Black Ops Cold War Beta Weekend 2 continues. Open Beta is LIVE on PlayStation 4 and Xbox and PC players can play with a digital pre-order.
New in beta on October 16: Treyarch has been activated Double XP und Double Weapon XP to help players level up!
Starting Friday October 16, we’re activating 2XP and 2X Weapon XP for everyone for the remainder of the Crossplay Open Beta weekend!
We’ve received your feedback that you would like to try more attachments on the weapons available in beta. As more weapons join the fight as we raise the cap on Thursday and Saturday, we reduce the amount of time it takes to raise your weapons level in half. Enjoy!
This will allow you to get a higher rank and weapon level to unlock and experience more content during the beta.
Double XP and Double Weapon XP will be active until the end of the beta.
The Black Ops Cold War Beta will be Open Beta on all platforms starting October 17 at 10 a.m. PT.
Black Ops Cold War beta will end on Monday, October 19th at 10:00 AM EST.
Thursday, October 15th update:
Xbox One and PC players who pre-ordered Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War digitally can now play the Black Ops Cold War Beta in Early Access! And all PlayStation 4 players can become active again as the Open Beta continues.
This beta weekend features cross-play between PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, so players on all platforms can play with each other and against each other. You can invite your friends via the Activision friend function and play with all players – regardless of the platform.
Black Ops Cold War Weekend 2 Beta for PS4, Xbox One and PC features 6v6 modes and 12v12 Combined Arms: Domination & Assault, the debut from Hardpoint, and Fireteam: Dirty Bomb.
The player will be able to access the Gunsmith during the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta to test the weapon customization and build system.
