PS5 Black DualSense photos look so much better than White Controllers

The PlayStation 5The mythical black controller (or at least a variant of it) seems real after all and suddenly appears on official FCC lists, listing photos that look much better than the standard design of the white controller. Since the controller was unveiled in April this year, questions about a more traditional black version have dominated the discussion about the expensive high-tech gamepad, and it seems that PlayStation purists who want a controller as black as their soul, become her wish.

Immediately after the DualSense announcement, digital artists went to work to answer what everyone else wanted to know: What does it look like in black? It turns out that fan models aren’t too far from reality, but all bets on a physically customizable PS5 user experience seemed to have expired only a few months ago. A number of fake black PS5 consoles and controllers were lost as the original items shattered most of the credibility that now legit leaks have had all summer, but the black parade has been slow to launch as developer kits, preview consoles and promotional materials ahead of the launch their time to spread around the world.

The latest, most compelling evidence of a black PS5 DualSense controller was discovered in a tweet from https://twitter.com/welltest789/status/1317210872662589447 (Many Thanks, VGC) with day-clear photos of the nightly controller. The legitimacy of these photos is virtually indisputable and comes from an official FCC listing with all possible angles – including internals. Though these black beauties were previously restricted to PS5 preview devices, they have now been listed for consumer use and could hit store shelves as early as next year.

Since this player request is obviously well on its way to being granted, other PS5 design queries should also be re-examined. The formidable beast that the PS5 console represents was also the focus of attention for many veteran digital artists after it was unveiled this summer. Images with alternative colors and game-specific editions are flooding the internet with the present. Aside from rumors and glances at black DualSense controllers, the most common request from gamers seemed to be a console with black panels rather than the stock white ones, some of which from the start suspected that they were interchangeable. This also seems to have proven correct. An official Sony demolition of the console shows how easy it is to remove the standard platters (and presumably turn them back on).

People like to stick with what they know and the gaming community is no different. Because of this, longtime PlayStation gamers have made it clear that they want to ditch the pseudo-sci-fi white-black look of the launch editions of the PS5 for the dark look they’ve known and loved since the days of the PS2. and it’s likely that black console plates and all-black controllers sold separately will allow them to transform their next-generation experience into something far more familiar.
