According to the patch notes on the Nintendo support site, New Horizons’ 1.5.1 update fixes a couple of bugs, including one where Nook Miles keywords were not showing up in the passport list and another where the villagers were on handover a bamboo shoot talked about pumpkins. The 1.5 update mentioned above was released on September 29th and introduced a range of fall-themed content to the game, including the Halloween event, pumpkins, and scary DIY recipes. Another big New Horizons update is coming in late November and it seems that they will be adding the game’s Thanksgiving and Christmas events.
That’s not all that is next month. Nintendo also announced that the Animal Crossing amiibo cards will return to stores in November. Each package costs $ 6 and includes six cards that you can scan to invite the villagers to live on your island, or to take photos of them in the game’s Photopia mode. The long-sold-out Animal Crossing Edition Switch console is also returning to select stores.
Meanwhile, a variety of new October bugs, fish, and marine animals are appearing in the game. The Biden campaign also unveiled its own Animal Crossing island to promote the Democrat’s presidential run, and there are polling stations and lots of dogs.

General updates
The following issues exist in Ver. 1.5.0 have been fixed:
- Fixed an issue where some title keywords obtained through Nook Miles were not showing up in the pass.
- Fixed an issue that caused certain messages to be displayed in English for users who played in French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, or Russian.
- Fixed an issue where animal dwellers would talk about pumpkins on a bamboo shoot.
- Fixed an issue where the location of certain furniture made it impossible to jump over a river.
