Asus GeForce RTX 3090 STRIX Gundam Edition arrives in Japan
A few days ago we looked at Asus’ new Gundam Edition PC components, aimed at fans of the anime series in Japanese markets. One of the components featured was an Asus Gundam Edition Maximus XII Extreme Z490 motherboard with a fully featured monoblock. Fortunately, Asus is fixing the problem with a new graphics card with the theme ROG STRIX RTX 3090 Gundam, which will be available soon (via ).

The card is beautiful and features a white shroud with blue and red accents. If this 3090 is like other Asus Gundam-style products, the only differentiating factor between it and the vanilla ROG Strix unit is the color scheme. What’s not bad: The ROG Strix RTX 3090’s board and cooler are some of the best features of the sturdy triple-slot cooler design with three fans and three eight-pin power connections.

Hopefully Asus will add some additional features to make this card more special, like a higher boost frequency and possibly additional lighting (compared to the original card).

It’s nice to see Asus develop Gundam-themed components for the high-end sector. Hopefully we’ll see this design aesthetic in cheaper GPUs like the RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 soon.
