Louis Tomlinson sells Los Angeles House $ 6.4 million

After a change of agent and more than a year on and off the market, the former English boybander Louis Tomlinson has finally managed to unload his white elephant from a house in Hollywood Hills, albeit with a steep loss. The 28-year-old’s 6,000-square-foot mansion, an architecturally fluid structure perhaps best described as a Neo-Georgian and Art Deco-inspired contemporary Spanish revival, sold for $ 6.4 million – big bucks for the Outpost Estates neighborhood, but almost a million dollars less than what Tomlinson paid for the property in 2016, a loss that doesn’t include taxes, maintenance, and high brokerage fees. Tax reports indicate that the buyers are a wealthy but unknown couple, both executives of security companies in the fintech industry.

Inside, the four-bedroom, five-bath structure is glamorously modified, with ebony hardwood floors, a variety of expensive mid-century furniture, premium stainless steel appliances, and buttermilk-colored walls. Built in 1937, but since then extensively renovated, the building with its red tile roof also offers a spacious retreat with a seating area, two walk-in closets with custom-made fittings and a spacious bathroom with a free-standing bathtub in the middle of the room, amid a black and white marble floor with a herringbone pattern.

But the property’s most valuable feature is arguably its best seat in the hills; The backyard and most of the rooms in the house have views of the jetliner from the Hollywood sign to the downtown skyline. The house leads to a steep horse ridge, but there is still plenty of space in the back yard for an infinity pool, a large concrete ceiling for outdoor entertainment, and several gigantic palm trees.

Tomlinson, who released his solo debut album “Walls” earlier this year to mediocre reviews, continues to run a traditional-style house just a few miles outside of central London.
