Don’t expect a new Apple TV in 2020. It’s more of...
We probably won’t get a new Apple TV 4K until the middle of next year. At least according to Jon Prosser, a knowledgeable, sometimes correct Apple leaker who has had the inside information on almost every Apple device for the past few months.

Prosser was asked about the possibility of a new Apple TV

which he replied, “There won’t be a new Apple TV until next year.”

If Prosser’s name sounds familiar, it could be because you remember his prediction back in May when he said the new Apple TV could “fall anytime”.

It turns out, At any time may not arrive until 2021.

We’ll get a new Apple TV … someday

The rumors of a new Apple TV have been buzzing around for months – mostly because the Apple TV 4K hardware is out of date at the time and Apple continues to support Apple Arcade on its tvOS platform.

According to Prosser’s previous tweets, the device in question will contain the A12X Bionic chip (the same one found in the iPad Pro 12.9) and are available in two memory configurations: 64 GB and 128 GB.

It’s code-named “Neptune T1125,” but anything or everything could change if the new Apple TV actually arrives.

That device didn’t appear on Apple’s iPhone 12 event earlier this week, which likely prompted Prosser to adjust his prediction.
