Australia is getting sick of TMNT, Pac-Man, Marvel Arcade1Up cabinets

An arcade cabinet is at the heart of any gamer house, whether it’s an official cabinet or one that you make yourself. For those who don’t want to go the DIY route, however, Australia faces much more choices as Arcade1Up is launching some of its retro cabinets and offerings in Australia.

The cabinets are adjustable Pac-Man and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed chairs. Here are all of the models that are first launched in Australia:

The Arcade1Up machines come in Party-Cade, Counter-Cade, and 1.2m sizes, depending on what you’re looking for. If you don’t have a lot of space, the Counter-Cade cabinets are small enough that you can put them on a table.

The Party Cade sizes are, as you’d expect, for those who want a full closet. The Marvel Arcade Cabinet is included Marvel at superheroes, X-Men children of the atom, Punisher, while Pac-Man Has 40th anniversary cabinet Pac-Man Plus, Pac-Man, Pac & Pal, Pac-Mania, Super-Pac-Man, Pac-Land, and Galaga. (Both come with a 17-inch LCD screen.)

The TMNT Closet has Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Turtles in time and support for four players which is key. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were some retro gamers smart enough to add other games to the hardware and take full advantage of the four-player setup.

Arcade Gamer and The Gamesmen have already pre-ordered the cabinets and stools so you can see prices and offers there. The gamesmen say the cabinets will arrive later this month. This should be enough time to get them up and running before Christmas.
