The OnePlus 8T durability and display benchmark results aren’t surprising

OnePlus, without co-founder Carl Pei, has just announced its second and final high-end flagship of the year. The OnePlus 8T changes the corporate formula in several ways. It starts without a “Pro” sibling and also contains Pro functions. It will definitely pique consumer interests, especially whether now is the right time to grab one. These early tests seem encouraging, but JerryRigEverything’s Zack Nelson seems to be on the fence, but not for reasons you might think.

The OnePlus 8T differs significantly from its predecessors in a few ways, e.g. B. in the camera design on the back and in the flat screen on the front. Another selling point are the double batteries to support 65 W warp charging and the 120 Hz screen refresh rate, which was previously only available on the OnePlus 8 Pro.

In contrast to the OnePlus 7T, the OnePlus 8T is also very strong last year. This may be due to the new camera bump design that doesn’t leave a large hole in the center of the rear window. The back does lift up a bit, but it doesn’t affect the overall durability of the phone.

The OnePlus 8T is also rated A + by the experts at DisplayMate, but it’s not uncommon for them to pass these results on to almost every high-end phone they test. At the very least, it instills confidence in the quality of the screen, provided it doesn’t fall prey to the tint and touch issues that OnePlus phones are notorious for.

However, Nelson’s concerns are not based on technical concerns or questions other than the accuracy of the under-display fingerprint scanner. Instead, they’re based more on the practicality of jumping on every new phone model that comes our way, especially if the manufacturer releases two phones a year. On the other hand, if you’re ready to upgrade anyway, at $ 750, the OnePlus 8T definitely sounds more enticing and doesn’t have the same display issues as its relatives.
