Realme 7 Pro SE Sun Kissed Leather you can touch

Last week, Realme announced a number of new products, including a 4K TV, two TWS headphones, and some AIoT devices. The company also presented the Realme 7 Pro SE with Sun Kissed Leather back, which complements the Mirror Blue and Mirror Silver versions of the Snapdragon 720G smartphone. We had the opportunity to spend some time with this special edition 7 Pro. Here are our first impressions.

Let’s start with the retail box, which is identical to the normal 7 Pro. This means you get a 65W SuperDart charger, USB-C cable, SIM ejector tool, protective case, and a small card that tells us that the smartphone has passed TÜV Rheinland smartphone reliability tests.

The Realme 7 Pro SE Sun Kissed Leather Edition shares its internals with the regular model, but as the name suggests, unlike the Mirror Blue and Mirror Silver models, the back is made of leather with a mirror design with CD textures.

According to Realme, vegan micrograin leather was used on the back of the 7 Pro SE, which is environmentally friendly, durable and requires a 14-step assembly process.

The Realme logo on the back is molded separately and then electroplated and CNC cut for a metallic effect. It blends into the surface and reflects the light.

The leather back of the smartphone feels soft and the phone sits comfortably in the hand – more so than the normal 7 Pro. And its compact shape makes the Realme 7 Pro SE a pleasure to use.

Like the regular 7 Pro, the 7 Pro SE Sun Kissed Leather Edition has a split design and is inspired by the sunrise on the horizon, from which it gets its nickname “Sun Kissed”. In contrast to the regular models, the back of the 7 Pro SE is mostly light gray, the stripe on the left is orange.

Aside from aesthetics and ergonomics, another benefit of the 7 Pro SE’s leather back is that it doesn’t fingerprint at all, so you don’t have to use a protective case to avoid fingerprint stains.

Another detail to note here is that the Mirror Blue and Mirror Silver variants have frames and buttons that match the colors of the back panels. With the Sun Kissed Edition, however, all sides and keys are painted in silver color. The exception is that like the regular models, the power button still has a gold accent.

The Realme 7 Pro SE Sun Kissed Leather special edition is a wonderful smartphone, and we love that the price is the same as the regular models – INR 19,999 (USD 270) for the 6GB / 128 GB variant and INR 21,999 (USD 300 / € 255) for the 8 GB / 128 GB model. The last time Realme launched a Special Edition smartphone (X2 Pro Master Edition), the price was a little higher than the regular version.

The Realme 7 Pro SE Sun Kissed Leather special edition will be available on October 16 in India via the company’s local website and Flipkart.
